TC Yachts is an established Taiwanese yacht builder with a long history. From the CT sailboats that became famous in Europe and the U.S. to the yacht brands Aquabay and Olympia, these products are all manufactured by TC. In addition to having century-old shipbuilding craftsmanship and the newest technology, the main reason that TC holds excellent word-of-mouth reputation and prestige in the industry is our consistently humble and practical attitude.
As island people surrounded by the sea from all sides, this year TC takes a pioneer step in establishing the Yacht Service Department to promote oceanic culture. In addition to our familiar shipbuilding business, we also connect multiple dimensions, such as yacht hosting services, event planning, oceanic recreation and tourism, and an introduction to seafaring education.
Traditionally, the impression of tourism on a ship was limited to fixed itineraries mostly consisting of “appreciating the scenery from a ship”. TC hopes to provide rides on sailboats and cruises that differ from the traditional experiences and to combine various water activities and site visits, meanwhile developing seafaring education to allow the oceanic culture to take root and to disperse.
Located on the river banks of Bali Township, TC not only has a dock but also a geographic advantage of being near the Guandu Bridge and the Greater Taipei metropolitan area. Enjoying wind surfing on Tamsui River, sailing to the estuary to appreciate the famous sunset from the ocean, or going sea fishing with friends on the North Shore on a holiday are all easily achievable.
In order to create an oceanic recreational space in Northern Taiwan, TC started refurbishing the scenery and equipment around the dock, paved a wooden platform and planted greenery. In the future, we hope to take a step further to introduce coffee and light meals so that visitors coming for an event or residents in the neighborhood can have one more place to visit for relaxation and scenery.
“To allow more people to feel the charm and fun of the ocean” was the main reason TC decided to begin the promotion of yacht services. In addition to recreational events, TC also started to prepare for the establishment of a seafaring school for next year, introducing international instructors and courses in hopes of promoting, in Taiwan, the long-existing sailboat culture of Europe and the U.S.
